Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief
How Can I Help?

In response to the great need that arrived with Hurricane Harvey, First Frisco is organizing ways people of First Frisco can help the hurricane victims.  As more opportunities evolve, the church will keep you informed.

  1. DONATE FUNDS: First Frisco will be receiving monetary donations to be channeled through the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR).  As a global church, 100% of all monetary contributions will go directly to aid victims of the hurricane.  Checks can be made out to First Frisco UMC.  Be sure and denote “Hurricane Harvey” in the memo line.  You can also contribute on-line at

  2. JOIN OUR EARLY RESPONSE TEAM (HOPE): Consider serving as a member of the First Frisco H.O.P.E. Team.  The H.O.P.E. Team is an disaster early response team that is a part of the Missions Ministry of First Frisco UMC.  To serve as a member of the H.O.P.E. Team, volunteers are required to go through Early Response Team Training.  To learn more about being a part of the H.O.P.E. Team or to learn more about signing up for an Early Response Team Training event, contact Steve Robertson at  We expect multiple Hope Team mission trips in response to Hurricane Harvey.  More information on our H.O.P.E. Team HERE

  3. PRAY: Join the First Frisco MVP’s (Most Valuable Prayers) in praying for the victims of Hurricane Harvey.  If you would like to be a First Frisco MVP, contact Steve Robertson at
