BELIEVING JESUS: A JOURNEY THROUGH THE BOOK OF ACTS

  • What does it mean to believe Jesus? Not just believe in Jesus, but actually believe what He said—and shape our lives around that truth?
  • How would that affect the choices we make or the way we see the world?
  • Would it impact the way we conduct ourselves with other Christians?

In this eight-session video Bible study, Lisa Harper answers these questions by looking at the lives of the believers in Acts and how Jesus’ command to spread the gospel forever shaped their lives.

Wednesdays: 9:00 -11:00 am (Jan. 24-March 7)
Leader: Rev. Cheryl Jones    Cost: $12.00    Room:  The Loft

A DISCIPLE'S HEART

This journey is based on two assumptions: a disciple is a follower of Jesus whose life is centering on loving God and loving others, and discipleship is an ongoing process of heart transformation -- a transformation happens as the love of God that came among us in Jesus takes up residence in us, enabling us to become agents of God's love. A Disciple’s Heart helps build a relationship that could mature in this study, by touching on Wesleyan theology, engaging some key discipleship questions, and exploring daily prayer methods to improve our personal relationship to God.

Sundays: 5:00 -6:30 pm, beginning January 21

PRAYING GOD'S WORD FOR YOUR CHILDREN

The pressures of parenting according to the world’s expectations & demands often cheat moms of the joy, peace & power of mothering according to God’s Word.  What a waste!

This class will focus on three primary objectives: 1. Reclaim holy ground of the Christ-centered home.  2. Equip mothers to stand in the gap for their children, fully armored by the Lord.  3. Offer hope, encouragement, and biblical training to moms to crave a “do-over”.

Other goals include a weekly dose of laughter and unconditional love, and a quiet touchpoint in the week for moms to receive Christ’s healing & rest.  If you are a mom with children at home, you are enthusiastically invited!

Tuesdays: February 20-March 27 from 6:30-8:00 pm (Childcare by RSVP)
Leader:
Shannon Vowell    Cost: $12.00    Room:  TBD
