Sisters Summer Study Begins July 10
It is time for Sisters Bible Study!! For the past several years, the women of FUMC have joined together for a summer Bible study designed specifically for women.
This summer we will be participating in a 6-week series based on the book You Matter More Than You Think by Dr. Leslie Parrott.
There will be two different Sisters groups meeting throughout the summer from July 10th - August 15th. The morning group will meet on Fridays from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and the evening group on Thursdays from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Each group will cover the same lesson each week, but the separation will allow us to be in smaller groups for discussion and fellowship.
Sisters is open to women of all ages and all walks of life. Childcare will be available upon request. The cost for the book and workbook is $20. To register, please contact Stacey Piyakhun in the church office at 972-335-4380.

Prayer Blanket Ministry
As you look around our sanctuary on Sunday mornings, you see several blankets that have been requested by individuals or for an individual who is facing a serious illness or personal crisis in their life. Prayers may be offered at any time, before or after Worship Services or any other time you are in the building. Please take a moment to stand in front of the blanket, say a prayer and then tie a knot in one of the strands. Each knot represents a prayer for the person. When all stran have been knotted, the blanket is given to the person. Forms to request a prayer blanket can be found in the church office, on the hymnal cart, or on this website under "Forms".
Save the Date for Women’s Retreat
Make plans to participate in this wonderful weekend getaway at Prothro Center at Lake Texoma on October 17-19, 2008. Beautiful facilities, spectacular views, delicious meals, walking, canoeing, outstanding teaching, Tranquility Point, and the laughter and love of your sisters in Christ will make this a memorable event.
Cost for lodging and all meals for the entire weekend is $165. A deposit of $50 is due by July 20 to reserve your room. Remaining balance and registration deadline is September 21. A limited number of scholarships are available. For further information, contact Catherine Fowler, Carol Westbrook, or Angie Macha through the church office at 972-335-4380.
Adult Sunday School Offerings

We currently have eight active classes that meet during the 9:30 hour on Sunday mornings. We invite you to come and try any of these classes at any time. Come make a difference in our church by allowing Sunday school to make a difference in you. We look forward to seeing you!
