There is an old saying that says, “Everything I needed to know I
learned in Kindergarten.” Kindergarten is such an important year
in the life of a child. It is the year that many encounter a school
setting for the first time. A time when they learn the reading, writing
and math skills and strategies needed to begin their educational
journey. Kindergarteners learn how to work cooperatively with their
peers and to make choices independently. It is a year of learning
and growing academically, socially, and at FIC spiritually. We provide
a caring and loving atmosphere where each child receives the individual
attention they need to progress and achieve their goals. Our students
become a family where they can learn together, laugh together and
pray together on a daily basis. Our staff is one that truly cares
and looks for ways each day to challenge and encourage our students.
We believe that every student can learn and that each child is an
individual. Different methods are implemented as needed to help each
student reach the goals that will prepare them for their next educational
experience. — Patti Eubank, Director of Friends

Tammy Stone
Welcome to our FIC Kindergarten website. I would like to take a moment
to introduce myself to you. My name is Tammy Stone and I am the Kindergarten
Teacher at FIC. I have fourteen years of teaching experience in both
private and public schools, ranging from Pre-K to Sixth Grade. My
first love is the Kindergarten and First Grade years. This is where
most of my teaching years have been spent. I love the excitement and enthusiasm
that the students bring to school at this age. They are so eager
to learn at this age and it is truly amazing the amount of progress that
they make during these two years. I am honored to be a part of the FIC Kindergarten
Program. The staff and families that come to us are some of the best
Frisco and the surrounding areas have to offer. Our FIC families
are very involved with their child’s education, which is essential
for building a strong foundation for their educational success. Our students
become a family that support each other and pray for each other. We sing,
laugh, pray, and learn together each day. If you have any questions please
contact us. We would love to share more about our program with you.
