Mothers of Preschoolers
MOPS is a grassroots movement that believes moms are world influencers. MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, or kiddos from birth through kindergarten.
MOPS believes that nurturing hearts and giving just-because-hugs can change the course of history. That's why moms are connected all over the world to a community of women, sometimes even in their own neighborhoods, who meet together to laugh, cry and support each other in the journey of motherhood. MOPS groups are rallying women to be more honest, feel more confident in motherhood and find their identity by journeying along side one another.
We have speakers at some of our meetings and do crafts at other meetings...but one thing remains constant, we are a sisterhood that truly supports each other. In addition to our bimonthly meetings, additional group activities are also planned like our Moms Night Out get togethers and pre-scheduled daytime group playdates for the kids. We do various community outreach, including Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan's Purse and Feeding 5000 which helps to provide a hot meal to nearly 100 people in Frisco each week.
At First Frisco UMC, the MOPS group meets the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month, 9:30 am - 11:30 am, in The Loft upstairs. Childcare is provided during our meetings. There is a fee associated with this group. Please contact Theresa Lynne Stuhl or Laura Kate Bishop for more information and to determine availability.
