Some places self-describe. You can tell a lot about them, just by looking at their names. The “Grand Canyon,” for example, or the “Painted Desert.” First Frisco is one of those places! We were “first” – the first congregation in the Collin County. And since we have grown up alongside our beloved city, our congregation tends to mirror the population of Frisco.
Beyond that, our motto fills in the rest of the picture. At First Frisco, we are “building a family of faith.” That means there’s a place for everyone at the table – from babies to Graybeards. It also means that, as a family, we make it our business to love and care for one another, not just at times of celebration but also when the going gets tough. Because we are in the process of “building” our family, we are constantly setting more places at the table – figuring out how to make the table bigger, broader, and replenished with good things for all.
What you might not see in the words “First Frisco: Building a Family of Faith” is our passion for reaching beyond ourselves. First Frisco invests in the community of Frisco in innumerable ways, partnering with organizations like Frisco Family Services (which was founded by First Frisco members years ago) to provide help and hope for those neighbors who need it most. But our vision of family extends beyond our next-door-neighbors, to our neighbors around the globe! Whether we are hosting children in this country for life-saving surgery through HeartGift ministry or sponsoring children in other countries, First Frisco is excited about offering Christ to ALL!
We at First Frisco invite you to come and see. Join us as we worship God! Join us as we serve our neighbors, near and far! Join us as we journey the road of discipleship together.
We are building a family of faith…
and you are invited to be part of that family!
